How to iron Teflon coated fiberglass cloth?
How to iron Teflon coated fiberglass cloth?
Teflon coated fiberglass cloth is a high-performance, multi-purpose composite material made of high-performance glass fiber cloth impregnated with polytetrafluoroethylene emulsion. Teflon coated fiberglass cloth is dimensionally stable, high strength, elongation coefficient less than 5%, good temperature resistance, continuous working temperature -70-260 ℃, low surface friction coefficient, good anti-adhesion, easy to clean all kinds of oil stains on its surface, Stain or other attachments, good corrosion resistance, corrosion resistance of various strong acids and alkalis, non-combustion, aging resistance, so it is widely used in aviation, papermaking, food, environmental protection, printing and dyeing, clothing, chemicals, glass, medicine, electronics, Insulation, construction (roof membrane structure base cloth), grinding wheel slicing, machinery and other fields. It can be used for anti-corrosion coating, lining and lining, anti-stick conveyor belt, high frequency copper clad laminate, architectural membrane, insulating material, microwave drying conveyor belt, flexible compensator, friction material, etc.
When Teflon fiberglass cloth is used as heat resistant conveyor belt, we need to process it into an endless belt and ensure its service life. The processing method to make PTFE endless belt is generally high temperature ironing, then How to iron Teflon coated fiberglass cloth?
Prepare materials and tools:
1. Dedicated high temperature iron
2. Imported high temperature hot melt film
3. Temperature-resistant and non-conductive pad
4. Teflon fiberglass cloth
The steps of ironing Teflon conveyor belt:
1. Cut the Teflon fiberglass cloth to the required size and leave the joint allowance. According to the size of the belt, generally leave 25mm for the small conveyor belt and 40mm for the large conveyor belt. During the cutting process, the sheet material needs to be corrected to be square.
2. Heat the special high-temperature iron to 390 degrees for use.
3. Wipe the joint part of the conveyor belt with a clean cloth.
4. Place the flat, temperature-resistant and non-conductive backing plate under the joint part;
5. Place the transparent hot-melt film between the two layers of the joint and check whether the joint overlap is consistent.
6. Iron slowly back and forth on the joint part with an iron (the ironing time of each mold is about 2 minutes) until it is firmly adhered.
