Product Specifications

Fusing machine belt is divided into seamless fusing machine belt and seam fusion belt.

Seamless fusing machine belt is made of high quality fiberglass yarn knitted by unique equipment and coated with fine PTFE resin. overcomes the shortcoming that junction of seam fusion belt easy to break and the possibility of running deviation. Some sizes of belts are not able to be made into traditional seamless fusing belt, then Scifluo will make these belts into laminated belts which is also seamless, we use one layer anti-static PTFE fabric inside and another layer tear-resistant PTFE fabric outside, two layers of fabric staggered and welded together, the connection part is untouchable. Laminating process improved tensile strength, abrasion resistance and using life of belts.

Seam fusion belt means fusing belt with joint, advantage fusing belts is its lower cost. Normally There are three splice methods for this belt:

  • Overlap splice - Overlap joint is suitable for applications where even surface is not critical, this type of joint is easy to make, just cut ends straight or diagonally, overlap two ends and heat sealed, the seam is durable but has double thickness.

overlap splice

  • Butt splice - Butt joint is making two ends butted together and reinforced with a strap underside to offer additional strength, this thinnest reinforce strap from Scifluo is in thickness of 0.04mm, there is nearly no step on the joint part.

Butt splice

  • Scarfed splice - A scarf joint is using grind to make two ends tapered first to minimize the thickness at the splice area, then overlapped and heat-sealed. This joint type is more suitable for thicker belts.
